The introduction of professional-applied physical training in the practice of physical education of students of institutions of higher education of creative specialties makes up the preconditions for shortening the period of professional adaptation, improving skills, achieving high professional efficiency and productivity. Professional readiness of future specialists is characterized by the integrative state of a person, which combines the optimal system of needs, motives and abilities, knowledge, skills, which characterize the professional qualities of a specialist and his/her attitude to professional activity. The purpose of the work is to identify the professionally important physical qualities of a designer, personal features and psycho-physiological qualities, as well as the requirements for the mobility of designers. Material and methods. The experiment was attended by 74 designers of the city of Kyiv and Kyiv region. The peculiarities of the work and the professional qualities of the designer were manifested through a professional questionnaire on the traditional questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of 99 questions. Results and discussion. The obtained results show that professional activity requires the manifestation of typical professionally important personal qualities: sociability, integrity, tolerance, kindness, sympathy, empathy, eloquence. We found out that the general and local (arms, legs, back, neck) static endurance, strength of the main muscle groups and strength endurance of the hands, accuracy and speed of the motor reaction can be classified as professionally important physical qualities of the designer. It was proved that the most important psychophysiological qualities include perception, memory, imagination, restraint, the ability to quickly make a decision, the ability to work in a nervous environment, the ability to clearly perform their tasks in conditions of emotional stress, a good reaction. Conclusions. Using the values of physical education in ensuring an adequate level of health, physical and spiritual development, and motor readiness plays an important role in the development of the profession, reaching the heights of professionalism.
